Purpose of the position:
- Implementation of the annual plan: at least 4 conducted IHL events (information sessions/trainings/speeches at conferences) per month
- Quality of training: the average rate of improvement in IHL knowledge of the participants is not lower than 75% (according to the test results before and after the IHL events)
- Development capabilities: number of IHL instructors/trainers trained, training products created/updated, and timely reporting to donors (to be determined quarterly). 400">
- Coordinate the implementation of the annual plan for information sessions/trainings/other educational activities on IHL.
- Develop and update programs, training materials, presentations, case studies and evaluation tools (pre/post-tests, feedback forms).
- Conduct information sessions/trainings/workshops etc. for various classrooms.
- Develop a network of instructors, trainers, and master trainers of TCHU: selection, training of trainers (ToT), mentoring, quality control, exchange of practices and materials.
- Ensure reporting: data collection, analysis, reports (internal/donor), continuous improvement of programs.
- Interact with partners (government bodies, universities, police/Army, other TCCs, ICRC/IFRC, etc.), coordinate programs and joint events.
- Support information and educational campaigns on IHL and emblem protection, including content preparation.
- Participate in the work of Intergovernmental Commissions on IHL issues (on assignment and within the limits of competence).
Additional duties:
- Adaptation of materials to online formats, coordination of translations and editors.
- Support for the procurement of materials/services in accordance with TCHHU procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
General duties:
- Lead active work to achieve the goals of the Red Cross Movement.
- Follow the principles of the Red Cross movement and work in accordance with them.
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements to the candidate:
- Higher education, specialization "international law".
- Certificate of trainer in International Humanitarian Law (desirable).
- At least 3 years of general professional experience.
- Knowledge of international humanitarian law rights.
- Analytical skills.
- Reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to cooperate and work in a team.
- Skills to make decisions.
- Skills to work with partners/contractors, local organizations will be an advantage.
- Ability to apply non-standard/innovative solutions at work.
- Ability to build trust.
