Purpose of the position:The leading specialist in technical support of regional organizations is responsible in the region entrusted to him for coordinating and supporting the activities of the main specialists in emergency management and the main specialists in interaction with communities on issues of risk reduction in emergency situations and civil protection of the regional organization of the TRC.
Main duties:
- Coordination and technical support of the regional organizations of the TRC in the area of emergency management in assigned to the Leading Specialist oblasts.
- Providing advice to employees of regional organizations regarding the planning and organization of emergency management activities.
- Monitoring the performance of the main tasks by specialists working in the direction of emergency management in regional organizations of the TCHHU.
- Provide technical support organizations of the TCHU in the regions assigned to the coordinator and upon request in other regions in the controlled territory to carry out emergency management activities.
- Conduct monitoring visits to the organizations of the TCHU.
- Coordinate actions with partners of the Movement, other organizations, services and local authorities regarding the implementation of management activities NS.
- Organize and maintain communication with employees of other departments and divisions of the TCHU at the national and regional levelх.
- Provide support to personnel in the regions in planning and organizing emergency management activities.
- Conduct training for teams in areas of public assistance, emergency risk reduction, civil protection.
- Collect and assess needs and additional information from TCHU organizations regarding the Department's areas of activity.
- Control compliance with reporting deadlines from TCHU organizations.
- Prepare reports on the region's activities for the Head of the Department on a quarterly basis.
- Perform other tasks Head of Department and Head of Sector.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of reporting requirements by keeping records of daily activities, entering data into relevant information collection tools in accordance with the instructions of the head.
- Cooperate with heads and specialists of other structural divisions of the department, the National Committee, regional and local of the organizations of the Russian Federation.
- Establish cooperation with external organizations to promote development and improve humanitarian and sanitary conditions among the population suffering as a result of military operations.
General duties:
- Carry out active work to achieve the goals of the Red Cross.
- Follow the principles of the Red Cross movement.
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for the candidate:
- Higher education (preferably in the field of civil protection, ecology or related fields).
- Experience in the field of humanitarian aid, civil protection organizations.
- Experience of interacting with beneficiaries, conducting trainings or teaching activities is an advantage.
- Skills in maintaining documentation, preparing reports and working with large data sets.
- Confident user of MS Office; knowledge of graphic editors is a plus.
- Developed communication, organizational and executive skills; tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, learn quickly, adapt; attentiveness and responsibility.
- Resistance to stress and abilityability to work under tight deadlines is an advantage.
- Confidentiality.
- Driver's license and knowledge of the English language is desirable.
