GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Defense" (Fund) is a charitable foundation operating in partnership with HIAS, a global organization on providing assistance to refugees. The Foundation focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, high-risk stateless persons and undocumented persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.
< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Project, within which a vacancy has been opened, is aimed at increasing the capacity of local self-government bodies, local public organizations of Irpinsk , Buchanska and Makarivska communities of the Kyiv region, and establishing a dialogue between community residents, local self-government bodies, local business representatives, non-governmental organizations and other interested stakeholders, in order to increase the economic capacity and social cohesion of communities.
BF "Right to Defense" is looking for a candidate for the position Leading specialist in partnerships for community development.
GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE
Activities are concentrated in Makarivska, Irpinska and Buchanska communities of Kyiv region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The leading specialist in partnerships for community development will report to the Project Coordinator, as well as the Coordinator of the Program for the Economic Inclusion of IDPs and the Affected Population and the Coordinator of the Program for Social Cohesion and Understanding.
< p>The leading specialist in partnerships for community development will work in close cooperation with the heads of other programs of the Fund, the head of the regional office of the Fund in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well asother employees of the Foundation to ensure the successful implementation of the project.The leading specialist in partnerships for community development will be responsible for coordinating activities on the territory of the geographic coverage of the project, establishing cooperation with community stakeholders to implement the project's goals (local self-government bodies, private sector, public sector), involving stakeholders and community members in dialogue within the project.
Under the direct supervision of the coordinator of the program of economic inclusion of IDPs and the affected population and the coordinator of the program of social cohesion and understanding and a specialist in partnerships for community development:
Organizes cooperation with representatives of local self-government bodies, state authorities, local non-governmental public organizations and non-state public associations, business structures, educational institutions , by the public;
Organizes and facilitates the implementation of project activities in the territory of the project's geographical coverage in accordance with its work plan and budget;
Establishes dialogue and promotes the involvement of various community stakeholders and community residents in project activities;
Contributes to the work of experts involved in the implementation of project activities;
Organizes and conducts (if necessary in cooperation with other employees of the Foundation) the events, trainings, seminars, other events provided for by the project;
Participates in writing interim and final reports on the project;
Understands and adheres to the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills;
Ability to multitask;
Experience in planning and analyzing the work performed;
Cultural sensitivity and diplomacy;
Readiness to travel within the defined territory;
Excellent command of the Ukrainian language, command of the English language will be an advantage;
Experience in international donor projects will be an advantage;
Experience of cooperation with local self-government bodies, active population groups in the community will be an advantage;
Experience with entrepreneurship support programs, professional retraining will be an advantage;
Accommodationon the territory of the geographical coverage of the project (Makarivsk, Irpinsk and Buchansk communities of the Kyiv region) will be an advantage.
