The National Committee of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCHU) announces a competition for the position of Leading specialist in mine danger.
The Red Cross Society of Ukraine is one of the first to respond to all emergency situations in the country and provides assistance to those who need it most.
Main functions and responsibility
- Planning of program activity on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis;
- Analysis and preparation of reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis regarding the implementation of defined measures;
- Regular business trips to the Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine (as needed) to carry out operational activities within the framework of the program;
- Conducting analysis and preparation of a report on the situation on the territory of designated areas in the field of mine action;
- Providing feedback regarding any changes within the framework of tasks defined by the project activity (cancellation of planned activities and reasons, change of date, change of contact information, etc.);
- Supporting the development and improvement of thematic materials in the direction of informing about the risks of explosive objects and safer behavior;
- Preparation of the necessary regulatory documentation for the effective implementation of mine action activities (methodical recommendations, instructions, orders, general and internal regulations, standard operating procedures, etc.);
- Cooperation with local authorities and holding joint events on the territory of the areas determined by the project activities;
- Participation in activities aimed at increasing the level of awareness of personnel, in particular by sharing experience with other subjects of mine action activity.
Key requirements:
- Higher education.
- Additional education (attendance of trainings/sessions) on the program "Information about the risks of danger from explosive objects and risk prevention training" (EORE).
- Experience of implementing projects in the field of mine action.
- Skills in conducting educational trainings, presentations, forums
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, databases, e-mail).
- Experience in communicating with different categories of people, tact and diplomacy.
- Cooperation and teamwork.
