Leading specialist in capacity building of the Department of Humanitarian Diplomacy is a position that involves responsible for the direction of the development of potential in the field of humanitarian diplomacy and humanitarian advocacy (HDHA) within the scope of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (Red Cross Society of Ukraine), as well as for contributing to the strategic implementation and strengthening of the unit in general. 

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive contribution to the activities of the Department of Humanitarian Diplomacy.
• Organization and holding of trainings, seminars and events for employees and/or volunteers of the TCHU on HDHA issues, as well as development of appropriate methodology and techniques.
• Preparation of educational and informational materials on the subject of HDHA for distribution among the relevant departments and divisions of the TCHHU, as well as partners.
• Communication and coordination with the relevant technical specialists Twith CHUs, partners and stakeholders on the development of HDHA capacity building tools.
• Participate in the development of long-term capacity development strategies and initiatives that will contribute to the strengthening of the unit and CHUs in HDHA.
• Prepare and submit reporting documents.
• Participate in the development, refinement and promotion of key advocacy narratives and documents among stakeholders parties.
• Supporting the development and implementation of programs and initiatives in accordance with the operational plan of the department.
• Management of communication with the structural divisions of the NC TCHHU, formulating requests and filling out technical documentation.

Additional tasks:

• Oral and written translations (documents, events, meetings).

General responsibilities:

• Actively work to achieve the goals of the Red Cross.
• Comply with the principles of the Red Cross movement.
• Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in humanitarian mission, public relations, international law or other related fields.
• Master's degree in humanitarian mission, public relations, international law or other related fields areas.
• At least one year of experience working in humanitarian organizations, diplomatic institutions, public authorities, or other decision-making, advocacy, or diplomatic structures.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.
• Good coordination and interpersonal skills skills.
• Ability to create persuasive narratives and messages to support advocacy initiatives.
• Knowledge of diplomatic correspondence rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian (oral and written communication).
