About the organization

FSD (Fondation Suisse de Deminage) is a non-commercial, apolitical and independent organization of any ideology, religion or nationality. The head office of FSD is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Purpose of the organization

The main purpose of FSD is to promote demining activities. In general, the totality of the organization's activities is aimed at alleviating and reducing the social, economic and environmental consequences of pollution from land mines and explosive remnants of war on the territory of Ukraine.

Location of the office and place of work:

This position is based in Chernihiv, business trips around Ukraine may also be provided.

Description vacancies:

• Organization of an effective labor protection management system aimed at preventing industrial injuries, occupational diseases and diseases caused by production factors, control over its functioning.
• Study of working conditions at workplaces, preparation and submission of proposals for the development and implementation of more advanced means of protection against the effects of dangerous and harmful production factors.
• Organization of timely safety training of employees, participation in the work of the commission for checking the knowledge and requirements of regulatory documents on labor protection.
• Providing methodological assistance to department heads during the development and revision of instructions and other documents on labor protection.
• Conducting introductory briefings on labor protection during hiring.
• Development of documentation on labor protection and ensuring its proper design and preservation.
• Control over the provision of structural units with specific local regulations acts (rules, regulations, instructions on occupational safety), visual aids and educational materials on occupational safety.
• Participation in the investigation of accidents, occupational diseases and accidents at work.
• Cooperation with representatives of state bodies on occupational safety during inspections.

Qualification requirements:

• Higher education of the second level a master's degree (specialist) in the relevant field: civil safety, labor protection. 
• Work experience in the specialty from the 1st year
• Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point programs. 

 General requirements:

• Work within the core values ​​of FSD, promoting the spirit and mission of the organization; especially impartiality and non-political.
• Work to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization and the program.
• Participate in meetings and seminars as requested by headquarters in Geneva.
• Perform any other duties appropriate to the position as required.

General terms and conditions

Term of employment depends on duration of external financing of projects in Ukraine. The minimum period of work is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
