The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading international humanitarian organization whose main objective which is the protection, support and promotion of long-term solutions for the displaced population.

DRB has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, more than 700 employees work in the DRB in total on the territory of Ukraine. In 2024, the DRC will continue to expand substantially to implement emergency response in the social protection, livelihoods, housing rehabilitation and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining) sectors, providing direct support to responsible individuals and civil society organizations (CSOs), and as well as their partners.

DRB is currently looking for aLeading specialist in partnership issues in the field of monitoring, assessments, reporting and training in the city of Kyiv.

About work: This may include supporting the creation and implementation of processes in coordination with the MEAL team.

Your the main duties will be:

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Tasks

• Provide support for joint monitoring with DRB partners using a diverse set of tools in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Partnership Manual:

  • In cooperation with the partner, develop a logical scheme and work plan for monitoring;
  • Support the development of appropriate verification tools for partners;
  • Provide support for the development of methodology and data collection tools for partners;
  • Ensure timely reporting on monitoring activities in accordance with project work plans and schedules;
  • Regularly conduct monitoring visits to partner sites;
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions with partners and disseminate their results to relevant departments.
  • Coordinate departments involved in working with partners to ensure implementation of partner monitoring activities.

Capacity building challenges:

  • Conduct partner capacity assessment and provide appropriate support;
  • Based on the assessment results, develop a capacity building plan and implement it;
  • Ensure high data quality by ensuring accurate data collection, entry and download, as well as basic information analysis through capacity support and developmentpartners.

About you

To be successful in this role, we expect you tohave strong analytical skills, understand a range of methods monitoring, evaluation and analysis, as well as research methodologies; will have the ability to communicate with many and build the potential of others. In addition, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of direct experience work in monitoring and evaluation;
  • Experience in collecting data (e.g. via Kobo) and writing reports;
  • Experience in working with partners/grantees on monitoring and evaluation issues;
  • li>Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  • Ability to facilitate communication between employees of different departments and other organizations, as well as develop the potential of others ;
  • Ability to perform various duties and organize them in order of importance.

Desirable

  • Proficiency in English;
  • Experience with information management and accountability mechanisms.

We offer:

  • Contract duration: Open date contract after successful completion of initial 3 month trial period.
  • Place of work: Kyiv, office work.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Salaries and conditions will be in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of National Staff of the Danish Refugee Council.
