GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of charitable foundations of Ukraine.

The project, in within the framework of which a competition was announced aimed at supporting Ukrainians returning home after forced displacement. The project involves the development of a digital platform with step-by-step practical recommendations for return and reintegration, covering legal, social, psychological and economic aspects. The initiative is implemented by the team of the BF "Right to Protection" in cooperation with local authorities, communities and partners in Ukraine and Poland. We are also considering candidates from Poland for this position.

Goal positions

Lead Analyst will be responsible for the analytical support of the project, including needs assessment, service mapping, data analysis and transformation of research results into practical recommendations and content for digital platform.

Duties and responsibilities

A. Analytical leadership and research design

  • Provide overall analytical leadership within the project.

  • Development of research methodology and tools (desk research, focus groups, interviews, surveys).

  • Formation of analytical frameworks according toabout the goals of the project and the requirements of the donor.

B. Needs Assessment and Service Mapping

  • Mapping available services for returnees in four key areas:

    • legal;
    • social; font-style; text-decoration: none">psychological;
    • font-style: normal; text-decoration: none." style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">

      Identification of gaps, duplications and barriers in access to services.

    • Coordination of data collection with regional R2P teams.

    C. Data analysis and analytical products

    • Analysis of quantitative and qualitative data on the experiences and needs of returnees.

    • Preparation of analytical materials:

      gap analyses;

    • user path maps (user journeys);

      style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Ensuring understandable, applicable and barkuser-oriented submission of results.

    D. Support of the structure and content of the platform

    • Formation of analytical logic and content structure of the digital platform based on research results and service mapping

    • Development of the turn-by-turn tool:

      • return;

      • during return;

      • upon arrival.

      • Providing analytical justification of the information, services and recommendations to be presented on the platform.

      • Cooperation with content developers, UX/UI designers in a clear and practical digital tool">E. Coordination and work with stakeholders

        • Interaction with the project manager and internal teams of the Fund to coordinate analytics with project implementation.

        • Involving returnees in consultation and testing the tool.

        F. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

        • Supporting the development of feedback tools and platform performance evaluation.

        • Analysis of user feedback and piloting results.

        • Formation of recommendations to improve the platform.

        G. Reporting and Accountability

        • Preparation of analytical contributions to reports for GlobalGiving.

        • Adherence to internal R2P policies and procedures.

        • Ensuring proper documentation of analytical processes.

        H. Engagement with stakeholders and presentation of results

        • Supporting systemic interaction with key partners and stakeholders, including state authorities, local communities, international organizations and expert communities.

        • Presentation of analytical results and project results during work meetings, consultations, round tables and other professional events.

        • Participation in external events, conferences and expert discussions to disseminate research results and project approaches.

        • Supporting the dialogue between the project team, state institutions and other organizations regarding the development of tools to support returnees.

        Expected Results and Products

        • Analytical plan and research methodology.

        • Service mapping report (legal, social, psychological, economic).

        • Report on the needs assessment of returnees.

        • Analytical materials for the platform.

        • Analytical contributions to the project.> text-decoration: none">Education:

          • Higher education in social sciences, public policy, public administration or related fields.

          At least 5 years of analytic or research experience projects.

        • Experience in conducting mixed research (quantitative and qualitative).

        • Experience working with IDPs, refugees or returnees is a significant advantage.

        • Understanding humanitarian standards and mechanisms coordination is an advantage.

        Skills:

        • Strong analytical and systems skills.

        • The ability to transform complex data into practical conclusions.

        • Excellent writing skillsin Ukrainian and English.

        • Experience of interdisciplinary interaction.

        Personal competencies:

        • Cultural sensitivity and ethical approach to work with vulnerable groups.

        • Independence and responsibility.

        • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
