We are the USA-Ukraine SaaS product company that offers infrastructure solutions for scaling (IaaC, Terraform, DevOps, GitOps philosophy). As an engineering organization, we embrace a DevOps approach, researching cloud services, adopting best practices, and utilizing Terraform. This enables us to understand our customers’ challenges and use cases better. Join our product company on a full-time and long-term basis and help us grow. We have offices in the USA and Ukraine. The development team is located in Ukraine. What you need to be successful in this role:

  1. At least 2  or more years of experience as a SRE Lead/DevOps Lead/Infrastructure Head
  2. Experience in architecting, launching, and maintaining complex, distributed web applications
  3. Proven previous experience in technical leadership positions, including capabilities in mentoring, navigating cross-functional teams, and making high-quality technical decisions
  4. Communication skills in English will be a plus
  5. Experience working in a SAAS company or service product companies that provision and support computing infrastructure using code instead of manual processes and settings
  6. Terraform (for GCP)
  7. Linux (RHEL/Debian, bash scripting, strong Linux internal knowledge)
  8. Docker
  9. Google Cloud Platform
  10. Monitoring, and logging such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, etc.
  11. Experience with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar.
  12. Python experience (experience in Python scripting is enough) will be a plus or Golang

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy:
  • Take part in strategic planning by assessing the complexity and risks of the product roadmap from an infrastructure perspective (observability, performance, stability, reliability, etc.)
  • Create and maintain SRE roadmap and be ready to advocate for the priority and business necessity of its development, including new tasks and refactorings.
  • Develop and define the infrastructure architecture, considering current and future challenges. Continuously adapt the architecture to meet current needs, enhance technical efficiency, and ensure infrastructure scalability.
  • Manage the infrastructure technology stack, including evaluating and integrating new CI/CD and monitoring tools, libraries etc.
  • Cooperates with other Tech Leads, and coordinates interaction with other departments
  • Creates rules and standards application and infrastructure reliability (SLO, SLA etc)
  • Team:
  • Act as a leader who actively participates in system maintenance and solves complex technical challenges, guiding the team toward high-quality software development
  • Validate critical tasks, provide consultation, and assist in solving complex technical problems while being directly involved in the SRE process.
  • Stimulating teamwork and enhancing the manifestation of ownership, autonomy, and continuous growth
  • Serve as an arbitrator in decision-making during controversial situations, while remaining actively engaged in the technical aspects of projects
  • People:
  • Teaches, mentors, and ensures employees have the appropriate level of knowledge to work with different system components; initiates mentoring, Q&A sessions, and knowledge reviews
  • Conducts technical interviews with candidates
