Lead/Senior Python Developer in Academy SMART

Our client consists of pharmacy experts who use data-driven insights for those who prefer to know more. They work across the entire pharmacy chain to reveal hidden aspects, clarify confusion, and eliminate distractions. This enables informed decisions about affordable healthcare, helping people lead more productive lives.

The project is in the active development stage. A new platform has been developed in Python 3.8+ to provide the service to end users. The migration of functionality from the old platform in Python 2.7 is in progress. Additionally, completely new functionality is being developed to meet end-user requirements.

Team setup:
Backend - 5 devs
Front-end - 2 devs
QA - 1 dev
DevOps - 3 devs

Requirements:

Critical:
*Commercial programming experience 5+ years
*Commercial Python 2.7 & 3.8+ programming experience
*Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, ability to write database queries
*Strong knowledge of Docker

*English – Upper-Intermediate (B2)

Preferably:
*Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Javascript.
*Understanding of microservice architecture.
*Skills in working with Git and databases, using REST API and SQLAlchemy
*Knowledge of FastAPI, AsyncIO.

Responsibilities:

*Development and support of ongoing projects and new features, fixing bugs, code review
*Package/service support (building, deploying to stage/prod)
*Creating new Jira tickets for the team
*Defining project strategy, ensuring compliance with architectural standards
*Cross-team communication, communication with key stakeholders, presenting solutions and reports.
*Ensuring deadlines are met, conducting progress assessments
*Implementing new technologies, optimizing processes
