The client is a large retail and commercial bank based in the UK.
We are looking for a candidate to work in collaboration with the UK Mortgage Team. We are looking for candidates with technical knowledge of Salesforce. They will be joining an IT Mortgage team located in Lisbon, Malaga, Madrid, or Cantabria that works together with the client. We are expecting team players who want to grow together not only technically but also knowing the business.
Job Responsibilities / Role
- Design, implement, and test new functionalities and features in Salesforce to meet business needs. Build both custom/standard components on the Salesforce platform, using the most appropriate platform capability;
- Use Flows, Apex, LWC, and other technologies to ensure solutions are built to high standards. Make appropriate use of enterprise design patterns when writing custom code;
- Refine technical user stories as required, and articulate clearly the technical solution required to meet a specific requirement;
- Building (hands-on coding) of more complex areas of the requirements;
- Support the Tech Lead with ensuring best practices are adhered to, providing mentorship and code review feedback as required;
- Act as the single point of contact for the development team, triaging and prioritizing issues as required;
- Work with Tech Leads to author Technical Design Documents, ensuring adherence to design patterns. Suggest improvements to the development workflow for the development team.
Mandatory skills
- 7+ years in Salesforce Development. Strong experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud;
- Highly skilled in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components the creation of custom solutions tailored to client needs;
- Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization principles for efficient and scalable applications for a large active user base;
- Strong experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud & Salesforce Eco-System;
- Expertise in large-scale integration using SOAP, REST, Streaming (including Lightning Events), and Metadata APIs, facilitating the seamless connection of Salesforce with other systems;
- Excellent technical documentation skills & Excellent communication skills;
- Salesforce Certification (Must: Salesforce Platform Developer II);
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Comfortable and effective in leading developers, ensuring project success and team cohesion;
- Financial Services industry experience;
- Experience implementing Experience Cloud solutions at enterprise organizations;
- Experience in working in both agile and waterfall methodologies &TDD — Experience in development outside the Salesforce platform, i.e. React/Angular/Java projects;
- Experience in working with unlocked packages;
- Financial Services industry experience, preferably within mortgages Qualities;
- Team player: energetic, motivated, determined, pragmatic and results-oriented;
- Adaptable to diverse sets of technical responsibilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
