- Support for RHEL 6 & 7 servers, encompassing OS administration, applications, and hardware issues.
- Tasks involve installation, upgrade, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operating systems and services.
- LVM operations such as creating volume groups, filesystems, and logical volumes.
- Ensuring high availability, failover, and fallback using Veritas Cluster Server, including freezing and switching service groups.
- Hardware maintenance and coordination with vendors like Redhat, Oracle, Symantec, and IBM.
- Monitoring system performance, managing virtual memory, swap space, disk, and CPU utilization.
- Conducting hardware replacements, including batteries, DIMMs, hard disks, system boards, power supply fans, and HBA cards in Red Hat HP ILO machines.
- File system management, including size monitoring and inconsistency resolution.
- Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) administration experience is mandatory.
- Experience in configuring and managing VCS clusters is required.
- Network bonding, log rotation, password policy, and Apache configuration on Linux servers.
- Creation, management, and extension of LVM partitions.
- Application of OS patches on cluster Linux servers using the BladeLogic tool for patching.
- Management of users and groups, including applying security permissions to users and directories.
- Project execution, such as host/DC migration, SAN migration, subnet migration, and DC power down, in collaboration with other infrastructure management teams.
- Troubleshooting local user accounts, NIS, NFS, NTP, network, memory issues, etc., and addressing user requests.
