ABOUT PROJECT

Nile Valley is a mobile farm game in an antique setting with a unique combination of classic farming gameplay and an adventure component.
As the Lead Game Designer, you will be at the forefront of creating mobile Free-to-Play (F2P) games. You will guide a team of designers, collaborate with other departments, and ensure that the game’s vision is realized while maintaining a strong focus on player engagement and monetization strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Lead Game Designer, preferably in the mobile casual market;
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile F2P games;
  • Deep understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and live operations;
  • Expertise in designing for F2P economies and monetization strategies;
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret player data and make informed design decisions;
  • Hands-on experience with analytical tools (such as Tableau);
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Experience with live operations and the lifecycle management of mobile games;
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Game Design Team, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction;
  • Establish and maintain design standards and ensure consistency across the game;
  • Collaborate with the project manager, producers, and the rest of the team to align game design with overall vision and goals;
  • Review and provide feedback on core gameplay mechanics, systems, and features conceptualized by the design team;
  • Oversee the development and iteration of game design documents, ensuring quality and alignment with the game’s vision;
  • Write and maintain detailed game design documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and clearly communicates design decisions and processes;
  • Collaborate with the game economy designer to design and balance in-game economies, ensuring a fair and engaging player experience;
  • Analyze data and player feedback to continuously optimize in-game economy and monetization tactics to improve and enhance KPIs;
  • Act as a liaison between the design team and other departments to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
