We're looking for an experienced senior digital designer to help us build state-of-the-art ecommerce experiences. For years Commerce-UI has been a tech company focused mostly on e-commerce development. On the design part we collaborated with external world-class teams such as Pentagram, Ania&Lucie, and Bruno Ferdinand. While this approach has many advantages, it’s becoming more and more challenging to keep the level of responsiveness our clients expect and deserve. Therefore, we decided to do more design work in-house and we’re looking for someone who can help us make it a reality. You should be able to create new digital designs for our e-commerce clients that are consistent with existing look. We mostly work with fashion/beauty brands designed by world-class studios (Pentagram, Ania et Lucie, etc), so a lot of skill is required in this regard. You must live and breath design thinking and UX. You should be able to talk to clients about their e-commerce problems and work iteratively to find the most elegant and usable solutions. Of course visual appeal and consistency are crucial too, but this role is as much about aesthetics as about design thinking with many challenges rooted in UX, not just in visuals.
