GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Under the direction of the head of the legal department, the lawyer provides high-quality information, consultation and legal aid services within the framework of a delegated thematic and geographical portfolio. DUTIES To facilitate the provision of legal services (information, consultation and legal assistance) to beneficiaries through Legal Aid Centers, Community Center TGH, visits to government-controlled settlements in Ukraine;Performing day-to-day case management and keeping records of court cases and all related files in internal database, spreadsheets, etc.;Ensuring timely referral to colleagues if other protection needs/primary needs are identified or risks; Facilitating individual and group legal consultations in the office(s) and during mobile visits; Supporting and mobilizing the resources of beneficiaries so that they can independently solve their legal problems; Providing support and direct legal assistance for issues that cannot be resolved beneficiaries independently Providing contributions for analytical and advocacy documents (information notes, case studies, comparative analysis, breakdown of legislation and bills, etc.); Preparation and development of reporting documents (weekly, monthly reports, reports and minutes of meetings on internal and public events); Support for the organization of public events such as meetings, roundtables, technical working groups and awareness raising sessions, and participation in such events on behalf of TGH; Cooperation and communication with local authorities and state authorities of relevant areas regarding the activities of TGH; Conducting professional development trainings in accordance with requests from local authorities and government agencies; Carry out any other tasks as requested by the LA Specialist The incumbent will adhere to all relevant TGH policies and procedures regarding child protection, safety, code of conduct, equal opportunities and other relevant policies. QUALIFICATIONS Degree in law; Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken; Fluency in the Ukrainian language; EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Experience of working in similar positions in a humanitarian/rehabilitation context; Experience of working as a lawyer in civil and administrative law; Experience of working on the ground with displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities; Knowledge of basic programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Skills in concise and concise report writing; Ability to prioritize security-related tasks and complete reports before set deadlines.
