Laboratory Technician in Amnio Technology

Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Work in aseptic and sterile conditions to maintain growth of cell lines and conduct cell culture experiments. Process biological samples according to protocols provided, ensuring data are recorded consistent with laboratory policies. Preparation of buffer solutions and media. Monitor, organize, and stocks laboratory supplies. Perform minor equipment maintenance. Sterilize supplies and waste by autoclave. Collect, analyze and document generated data. Write and review methods and validation documentation as needed. Maintains organization of contents of freezers/refrigerators at all times. Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of the laboratory. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all donor/recipient and proprietary information. Education & Work Experiences QualificationsAssociates degree in Life Sciences or Engineering, or a related field with 2-3 years of laboratory experience or equivalent Bachelor’s degree with 6 months to 1 year laboratory experience required. Mammalian cell culture experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and analysis skills, willing to learn new techniques. Highly motivated and strong attention to detail. Ability to organize and carry out tasks with quality in a timely fashion. Excellent record keeping skills. Basic knowledge of math and common lab equipment. Basic knowledge of aseptic technique. Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices is preferred.
