About the Role: We’re seeking a Junior to  Mid-level Natural Language Processing/Large Language Model-based solutions developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing NLP systems and models that can scale efficiently. You will work closely with our team of engineers and data scientists to integrate NLP technologies into products and solve complex challenges in language understanding.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing such solutions, natural curiosity and a creative mind. The candidate should have a clear understanding of available tools to solve relevant business problems (that could include developing user speech-to-data (and vice versa) transformers, turning text-based knowledge base into a structured data set, and connecting them to Gen AI for user interface), their limitations, and scaling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement NLP/LLM-based systems for real-world applications, including language models, text classification, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.
• Being able to find the best fit pre-trained model, feed it additional data, fine-tune it, and set the necessary guardrails.
• Identify and clearly describe limitations and risks (e.g. hallucinations), and find ways to address them as much as possible.
• Optimize solutions for performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in NLP and machine learning technologies.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure the robustness and accuracy of models.
• Document and present model development processes and results for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Be the product team’s go-to person to suggest the best available solution path to business requests.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or other technical field
• 2+ years of experience working with NLPs and/or 0.5-1 years with LLMs
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python
• Strong background in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and learning algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

In addition

• Having any experience with building custom LLMs from scratch is a major bonus, since our company will grow into developing custom LLM(s) in a near future.

Interview Process:

1. After you apply, we will reach out with a short questionnaire and will schedule the first call
2. During the interview, you will be expected to present your relevant experience, according to the aforementioned responsibilities (building NLP/LLM/Chat-based solutions for commercial applications)
3. In case of a satisfactory result, we will schedule a technical interview.
4. In case of any doubts, before or after step 3, we will provide a short typical client request and you will be expected to describe your solution development approach on a high level with examples.

This is a contract, fully remote position. Our global team works across multiple time zones, mostly from Europe. You will be required to adjust your work schedule accordingly, to ensure sufficient collaboration time with your teammates, and at the same time you can work in your most productive hours. The candidate will start with a three-month trial period during which the pay will be reduced by 30%. After the successful trial period, the candidate will receive a full pay and will be eligible for a pay review every 6 months, based on performance.
