DRB has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, more than 700 employees work in the DRB in total on the territory of Ukraine. In 2024, the DRB will continue to significantly expand to implement emergency response in the social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing reconstruction and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining) sectors, providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and as well as their partners. DRB will continue to develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.

DRB is currently looking for Junior technical support specialist/IT AssistantinKyiv. 

Please note that the position involves traveling around Ukraine.

General purpose positions:

Under the guidance of an IT expert, you will provide IT support to DRB employees. As a key member of the IT department, you will ensure the smooth operation of our systems and networks, allowing our employees to focus on their core work of improving lives and making a positive difference.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical support to company employees.
  • Configure workstations and peripheral devices.
  • Create instructions and conduct staff training on information technology issues.
  • Manage user accounts, including password resets and MFA, ensuring data security.
  • Analyze network and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Follow IT procedures and troubleshoot technical issues , identified by IT experts.
  • Keep track of equipment, licenses and user requests.
  • Cooperate with the purchasing department on IT equipment track issues.

Be ready for business trips to provide IT support in regional offices (Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Sumy).

About you:

To be successful as a Junior Technical Support Specialist, we are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to learn quickly and interact with multiple stakeholders. In addition, we also expect you to:

  • Understanding the basics of network tetechnologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN).
  • Knowledge of the Windows 10/11 operating system at the administrator level.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and the ability to diagnose problems , related to it.
  • Experience with Office 365 and troubleshooting skills in the Microsoft environment.
  • Proficiency in English at an average or high level for oral and written communication with colleagues.

  • Personal skills: communication, independence, punctuality, ability to work in a team.

Would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of the basic principles of MS Active Directory (GPO, Domain Structure , Shared Folders).
  • Experience of working as a system administrator/assistant system administrator from 1 year.
  • Experience of working in non-profit organizations.

We offer:

  • Duration of the contract: 12 months, with a trial period of 3 months.
  • Place of work: Kyiv.
  • Start date: as soon as possible.
  • Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Employment Conditions of the Representation of the Danish Council for Refugees in Ukraine.
