Junior/Strong Junior Data Science (Part-time) in Binariks

Binariks is looking for a highly motivated Junior/Strong Junior Data Science.
About the project: US-based company builds enterprise applications, custom websites, business intelligence solutions & mobile applications. One of the projects provides law and insurance companies with search services for legal documents.

It is a part-time position.

Requirements:

— Minimum 6 months of commercial experience in Data Science

— Understanding of classical machine learning tasks and models (e.g., Random Forest, k-NN, k-means) and the foundational math behind them

— Experience with classical model training and evaluation

— Knowledge of classical NLP techniques (e.g., tokenization, stemming, lemmatization)

— Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) for text and embedding generation

— Experience with open-source and proprietary LLM APIs (e.g., Huggingface, OpenAI)

— Proficiency in Python programming

— Experience with scikit-learn

— Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow

— Knowledge of Python back-end frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI

— Familiarity with SQL and relational databases

— Familiarity with Docker and deployment processes on clouds would be a plus

— Proficiency with Git for version control

— Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills

— Upper-Intermediate English level

— Self-efficiency skills like decision-making, self-management, and continuous learning

— Communication skills — the ability to establish and maintain a relationship, the ability to express yourself clearly

Nice to have:
— Experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies for document parsing would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

— Engage in projects developing AI and ML models for clients

— Participate in the discovery phases of new features

— Design project scope and roadmap, estimate analytical and deployment efforts

— Translate business challenges into AI applications

— Present results directly to clients and gather business requirements

— Utilize cutting-edge technology and tools to develop and implement data-driven solutions

— Help establish procedures and best practices for both internal and external use

— Collaborate closely with the client

— Quick response to client messages in Slack

— Attending meetings with a client
