Representation of the Danish Council for Refugees in Ukraine (hereinafter DRB) is an international non-governmental organization that promotes and supports long-term solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced persons people all over the world.DRB is currently looking for: Junior specialist of the housing restoration project in font-weight: 700">m. Dnipro, with daily visits to the communities of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Main ResponsibilitiesReporting:

Representation of the Danish Council for Refugees in Ukraine (hereinafter DRB) is an international non-governmental organization that promotes and supports long-term solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced persons people all over the world.

DRB is currently looking for:

Junior specialist of the housing restoration project in font-weight: 700">m. Dnipro, with daily visits to the communities of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting:

  • Implement projects, reporting and evaluation, including: correctly completed and submitted reports of completed works, keep a register of beneficiaries who received assistance, with a breakdown by gender, degrees of vulnerability and their number, based on one household. 
  • Monitor the correctness and timeliness of the submission of internal reports, monitor the proper storage of project records and tools (electronic and hard copies). 

Infrastructure and facility maintenance:

  • Supervise and regularly evaluate the infrastructure of construction and repair facilities. 
  • Identify infrastructure needs with an emphasis on improving access for vulnerable populations.

  • Focus on accessibility and special needs of vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities mobility 

  • notify the manager in a timely manner about any gaps and duplication in the provision of services, as well as about any necessary modernization/maintenance of the facility. 

Community Liaison and Reporting:

  • In collaboration with other team members consult with residents and by local authorities before carrying out works to improve buildings and structures;
  • Interact with other team members on complaints and feedback related to the protection, maintenance of buildings and structures. 
li>Uphold and adhere to sexual exploitation and abuse prevention policies and guidelines (for facility residents, DRB staff, partner agencies, temporary workers). 
  • Consult with the community before carrying out any maintenance work on the facility and infrastructure, so that measures are implemented with their participation, with the active involvement of community members, especially taking into account the interests of vulnerable groups and people with special needsnecessary 
  • Provide technical support and contribute to all housing restoration activities. 

  • Coordination and Representation: 

    • Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on issues relevant to the sector ; 
    • Represent DRB at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings;
    • Ensure integration with other sectors of DRB. 


    Logistics/Finance:

    • Maintain monitoring of financial commitments and expenditures against budgets and provide timely feedback on the implementation of the budget. 
    • Proactively plan and coordinate logistical support and movement of personnel to and from various operational Areas.

    •  Initiate purchases and ensure their execution. 

    About you:< /p>

    • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in monitoring and supervising construction projects, preferably with experience in the field of humanitarian response for an international non-governmental organization, agency of the UN, the relevant ministry or local authority.
    • Experience in performing administrative and support tasks.
    • Professional command of the Ukrainian language, basic command of the English language is an advantage.
    • Excellent Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
    • GIS and AutoCAD software skills are an advantage

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree or higher in construction, architecture or other relevant field is an advantage. Vocational training or experience in construction can replace technical education.

    Contract duration: Permanent contract after successfully completing a three-month trial period.

    Place of work: Dniprowith daily trips to the communities of Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

    Salary and conditions: will be in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of the Danish Refugee Council.
