DRC has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, DRB has more than 800 employees working on the territory of Ukraine to implement emergency response in the sectors of social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing restoration and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), providing direct support to responsible persons and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as their partners. DRB will continue to develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.

DRB is currently looking for a highly qualified Junior Information Technology Specialist to join the team in Kyiv

General Purpose of the Role

Under the technical direction of the IT Specialist, the Junior Information Technology Specialist will provide IT support to all DRB employees. As a key employee of the IT department, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks, which will allow employees to focus on their core business - improving people's lives.

Your main duties in the position will be: 

  • Provide IT support to DRB employees.
  • Configure and maintain workstations, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
  • Administer user accounts, including resetting passwords, setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access controls.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot local area (LAN), wireless (Wi/Fi), and virtual private networks (VPN).
  • Perform systems maintenance: updates, virus checks, data backup.
  • Keep accurate records of IT equipment, licenses and user requests.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics on IT inventory management and asset accounting.
  • Develop user manuals and conduct IT training sessions for employees. 

About you:

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have at least1 year of IT support or system administration experienceIn addition, we also expect the following from you:

Required

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science or related fields, or relevant relevant work experience.
  • English proficiency – Pre-intermediate.
  • Understanding of working principles and experience in supporting personal computers, servers, printers, etc.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) networks, routers, Fortigate/Pfsense firewalls, VPNs, wireless networkstheir technologies.
  • Experience working with M365 or other office packages.
  • Understanding Windows-based systems, experience in supporting and configuring Windows OS. organizations.

We offer:

  • Contract:3-month trial period with the possibility of extension until March 2027 depending on performance.
  • Position level:I -non-managerial.
  • Place work:Kyiv.
  • Start date:as soon as possible.

Salary and conditions in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of national staff of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine.
