Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 caused the largest refugee crisis in Europe since the Second World War, resulted in numerous civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and kindergartens. The war led to an increase in the number of trauma patients requiring physical rehabilitation, psychosocial support, and assistive technology. Despite everything, Ukraine remains on the path of EU-oriented reforms, in particular the National Strategy for the Creation of a Barrier-Free Society by 2030 adopted in 2021.

Switzerland, which is a long-term partner of Ukraine, launched a humanitarian project on trauma rehabilitation in 2022, and now supports long-term system strengthening project — "Trauma Rehabilitation for Ukraine" (TRUE).

The purpose of the TRUE project: to improve the quality of medical care and the results of physical rehabilitation for people with disabilities in Ukraine. The long-term vision is to improve the health and well-being of all women, men and children in Ukraine by improving the effectiveness of rehabilitation through integrated, quality services and changing societal norms to support the effective reintegration of people with disabilities. As a result, this will contribute to the creation of a society that fully recognizes and supports every person with a disability and their family, where no one will be left behind.

Charitable Fund "Patients of Ukraine" in consortium cooperation with the Swiss Institute of Tropical and Public Health (Swiss TPH) within the project "Trauma Rehabilitation for of Ukraine" (TRUE), announces a competition for a junior project management specialist

Requirements for the candidate:

• Understanding the needs of war victims.

Education in the field management, health care, education, social sciences or related fields.

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a team and working with documents. 

• Experience in organizing, coordinating and implementing events. 

• Fluency in English (level B2 and above).

• Experience with international technical assistance projects will be considered an advantage.

• Experience in health care, research, educational projects will be considered an advantage.

Terms of cooperation:

• Format: contract with an individual entrepreneur, group 3

• Official full-time employment. 

• The size of the reward will be discussed with the finalists of the competition and will depend on experience and qualifications.

• Predominantly remote work format.

• Working in a team that implements projects in the field of rehabilitation and contributes to the recovery of Ukraine
