Junior Manual QA Engineer (Support L2, Malevich) in Ajax Systems

About the project: We, Ajax Systems, create a security system and smart home devices. We want every house to become safe and reliable, and alarms to be technological, stylish and easy to use. We are proud of the quality and stability of OS Malevich. But the amount of new functionality that we deliver to users is growing rapidly. In order not to lose the quality indicators of our product and not to slow down the pace of release of new features, we are actively expanding the testing team. What is technically interesting about the vacancy?: You will have to test the operation of the OS on hardware of our own development, the delivery of information via the Jeweler radio protocol, the payment of this data and the transfer to the server part of the system. All these processes are controlled by OS Malevich, a real-time operating system (RTOS) that simultaneously provides multi-functionality and reliability. Real-time systems are used in elevators, car brakes, and ballistic missiles. They are provided with maximum reliability. If the system does not work in a clearly measured time, then this action will no longer make sense - a disaster will occur. This is the key difference between RTOS and Linux, where operations wait for their turn to be executed. This is one of the reasons why "Black Square" is not built on the basis of Linux. What are the tasks?: Testing the OS of the hub - Malevich; Thoroughly understand the structure of the system; Not only find bugs, but also with the help of logs and external manifestations to find out causes of incorrect system behavior; A lot of investing and troubleshooting; Participation in the analysis and updating of documentation; Validating the system for functional and non-functional requirements; Task estimation; Writing checklists, test cases, test plans; Working with Git; Finding a problem not only in Malevich, but and in other parts of the system (Server, Mobile/Desktop App's); Interaction with other teams and departments (developers, designers, business analysts); Work with QA Tools (server/device emulators); What are we looking for in a candidate?: Excellent knowledge of theory testing; Ability to apply test design techniques; Ability to write bug reports and test cases; Knowledge of SDLC; Experience working with requirements and TOR; Good analytical skills; Technical education; Ability not only to find the problem, but also to find cause and effect; Knowledge binary and hexadecimal number systems; High level of self-organization. Great if you have: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail; Experience with Kibana; Basic knowledge of Linux; Experience with Git; Experience with MySQL/MongoDB; Experience/basic knowledge of working with electrical engineering.
