Junior Manual QA Engineer (Video Device) in Ajax Systems

R&D, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA, is responsible for device development at Ajax.

Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers", these are creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce complex weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and flooding.

We need a person in the device quality assurance team in Kyiv.

Tasks:

• Improve the quality of our hardware products (wired and wireless cameras, video calls and video recorders).
• Analyze requirements for testing devices and their operating system.
• Preparation of checklists, test cases, test plans.
• Not just to find bugs, but with the help of logs, debugging and external manifestations to find out the causes of these bugs.
• To conduct research on the operation of devices and their operating system.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

• Basic knowledge of electronics, physics and circuit engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of testing theory.
• Documentation: compilation of test cases, user scenarios, checklists.
• Ability to competently describe a bug report and lead the life cycle of a bug.
• Technical education.

Will be a plus:

• Basic knowledge of network technologies.
• Command line skills.
• Experience in signal analysis (logic analyzer, oscilloscope).
• Knowledge of the UART interface.
