R&D is responsible for device development at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA.

Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems supports the product both at the development stage and during the production and further development process. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a clicker team, this is creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce difficult weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and floods.

. All these processes are controlled by OS Malevich, a real-time operating system (RTOS) that simultaneously provides multi-functionality and reliability. Real-time systems are used in elevators, car brakes, ballistic missiles. They are provided with maximum reliability. If the system does not work in a clearly measured time, then this action will no longer make sense - a disaster will occur. This is the key difference between RTOS and Linux, where operations wait for their turn to be executed. This is one of the reasons why Black Square is not based on Linux.

Required knowledge and skills:

• excellent knowledge of testing theory;
• ability to apply test design techniques;
• ability to write bug reports and test cases;
• SDLC knowledge;
• experience in working with requirements and technical specifications;
• good analytical skills;
• the ability not only to find a problem, but also a cause-and-effect relationship;
• high level of self-organization.

Will be a plus:

• experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail;
• experience with Kibana;
• basic knowledge of Linux;
• experience with Git;
• experience with MySQL/MongoDB;
• technical education;
• knowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems;
• experience/basic knowledge of electrical engineering.

Tasks:

• testing the OS of the hub - Malevich;
• not only to find bugs, but also with the help of logs and external manifestations to find out the reasons for incorrect behavior of the system;
• participation in the analysis and updating of documentation;
• validate the system for functional and non-functional requirements;
• write checklists, test cases, test planand
• working with Git;
• find the problem not only in Malevich, but also in other parts of the system (Server, Mobile/Desktop App’s), interact with other teams and departments (developers, designers, business analysts);
• work with QA Tools (server/device emulators);
• interaction with Beta Test participants and the Support team;
• participation in optimization of testing processes;
• improve the quality of the system as a whole.
