Ajax Systems is an international technology company, Europe's largest developer and manufacturer of Ajax security systems with smart home capabilities. This is a whole ecosystem of 135 devices, mobile and desktop applications, server infrastructure. Every year, we demonstrate multiple growth both in the size of the team and in the number of users worldwide. Currently, the company has more than 3,000 employees. And Ajax sensors protect 2.5 million users in more than 169 countries of the world. R&D is responsible for the development of devices at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA. Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers", these are creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce complex weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and floods. The server part is invisible to our end users, but is critical to the operation of the entire system. Complex architecture, a large amount of logic, constant development of new functionality and a large number of users require the involvement of a large QA team. The Intrusion team is engaged in the development of innovative solutions for customers. We create and maintain functionality for quick installation and configuration of AJAX devices, as well as for further convenient interaction with them. Our customers are not only end users, but also large security companies, so QA must guarantee correct and stable work under any conditions. What is technically interesting about the vacancy? We work with monolithic and microservice architectures, which have many complex and related logic itself. QA back-ends work not only with the API, but also with two protocols, a proprietary binary and gRPC. We analyze the requirements and technical documentation for new developments and functionality, starting testing at the early stages of development. We interact with our beta testers and receive feedback and inquiries from end users through the technical support department. We conduct a study of incorrect system behavior with the help of logs, identify a cause-and-effect relationship. We use QA Tools, emulators and much more in our work. We approach testing creatively, therefore we constantly try to improve and optimize processes by implementing new ideas, implementing new approaches, developing and improving our product. Tasks: Back-end testing; work with proprietary binary protocol and gRPC; work with monolithic and microservice architectures; work with MySQL and MongoDB; work with QA Tools (emulators); participation in the analysis and updating of documentation; interaction with other teams and departments (developers, business analysts); interaction with participants Beta Test and the Support team; work with Git and Jenkins.
