One of our founders had previously co-founded a highly successful Eastern European neobank with a multi million customer base.

We launched our first market with Leobank in Azerbaijan in 2021, where we have already established market leading positions. Our next market was Vietnam, where we launched Liobank in early 2023 and also gained solid traction.

We have a few more new markets in the pipeline for the next 12 months, and we are starting to build the team there.

Your role

You will be a part of our inhouse legal team providing support on legal operations of the group, as well as participate in new market entries.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide legal support for new market entries and operations of existing projects: 1) analyse local regulatory requirements (consumer lending, marketing, outsourcing, AML, banking, taxation, etc); 2) assist in reviewing and drafting transaction documentation (term-sheets, partnership agreements), 3) support in setting up local subsidiaries and operations.
• Provide legal support of daily operations of Fintech Farm group: 1) assist with due diligence of Fintech Farm by investors, banks and partners, 2) administer IP assets, handle registrations, transfers, renewals; 3) support data protection compliance; 4) conduct research on various legal matters, including corporate, finance, tax, IP, privacy, commercial and employment matters in the UK, EU, Ukraine and markets of operations; 5) assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating intra-group and staff-related contracts (service/license agreements, IP transfer agreements, outsourcing agreements, loans, stock options, etc); 6) support of other inhouse legal operations

Who you are

• Ideally some law-firm experience
• Hard-working,well-organised and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under pressure, with a keen eye for detail
• Fast learner with outstanding analytical skills, ability to think creatively to solve complex legal issues
• Initiative and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters
• A self-starter, who doesn’t take “No” as an answer and is results-oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Your experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in an IT company, international or top-tier law firm, or Big 4. Some experience in legal practice areas such as IT/IP & data protection,corporate, commercial and tax
• Law degree from a top-tier university (Master’s or LLM is a plus but not a must)
• Upper intermediate in English and fluent in Ukrainian
