The DRC has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, DRB has more than 800 employees working on the territory of Ukraine to implement emergency response in the sectors of social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing reconstruction and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as their partners. DRB will continue to develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.
DRB is currently looking for a highly qualified Junior Information Technology Specialist to join the team in Kyiv.
General purpose of the role
Under the technical direction of the IT Specialist, the Junior Information Technology Specialist will provide IT support to all DRB employees. As a key employee of the IT department, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks, allowing employees to focus on their core business - improving people's lives.
Your main duties in the position will be:
- Accept and process requests from users by phone and in the Service Desk system.
- Provide technical support for users in the company office and in regional offices.
- Consult users and conduct initial diagnostics and eliminate malfunctions in the operation of computer equipment.
- Perform technical maintenance of systems: updates, virus checks, data backup.
- Conduct information sessions for employees on technical issues.
- Make business trips to regional offices.
- Create manuals, guides, instructions.
About you:
To be successful on this position, we expect you to have at least1 year of IT support or system administration experience. Furthermore, we also expect the following from you:
Must
- Diploma in IT/Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in English - Pre-intermediate.
- Understanding the principles of work and experience in supporting personal computers, serversprinters, etc.
- understanding of TCP/IP networks, routers, Fortigate/Pfsense firewall, VPN, wireless technologies.
- Experience of working with M365 or other office packages.
- Understanding of Windows-based systems, experience in supporting and configuring Windows OS.
Desirable
- Experience in an NGO would be an advantage.
