Mainly works within existing brand guidelines and designs to version out print & digital collaterals such as logos, brochures, email templates, social media assets, graphics for smaller events, infographics, gifs, animation, and more. On top, skills in PowerPoint are required to be able to beautify and re-design presentations for various stakeholders.Project Overview:Junior Graphic Designer works closely with the branding team to understand the target audience and resulting needs and bring in their own creative flair to create designs that effectively visualize/communicate strong brand messages. They are focused on designing materials that support the organization's marketing efforts, and their designs will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence in a highly attractive but the same time consistent manner.To be successful in this role, a junior graphic designer should have a strong portfolio of design work, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creativity and innovation.Requirements:A bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field1 year of experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolioDeep knowledge of Adobe Photoshop , Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, XD IllustratorKnowledge of other design and prototyping software like Sketch or Figma will be considered as a plusProficiency in MS Office Suite (mainly PowerPoint) and ability to work in both Mac OS X and Microsoft WindowsStrong understanding of design principles and techniques (such as typography, colour, theory, layout etc.)Creative, detail-oriented mindsetFluency in English is mandatoryGood understanding of marketing principles, such as target audience, messaging, and brandingExperience with video editing & animation skills is a plusEnsure that typographical rules are correctly implemented in all outputs and that all creative design always aligns with our brand guidelines.Experience with digital is a mustPrevious exposure to UX/UI or Data Visualization projects will be considered a plusAbility to work well in a team and communicate effectivelyDuties and Responsibilities:Create visual design from concept to completion for a wide array of different print & digital collaterals such as logos, brochures, email templates, social media assts, graphics for smaller events, gifs, animations and more within existing Syngenta Brand Architecture and respective product brand guidelinesDesign engaging infographics, illustrations and icons to communicate complex information effectivelyDevelopment of new brand signatures incl. brand identity/guidelines and templates for smaller brands in close collaboration with the branding leadsAssist in the production of print and digital materials, including preparing files for print and webWorking with Templates: Work with pre-established templates for certain types of design projects, like newsletters or social media posts, modifying them as needed.Ensure that typographical rules are correctly implemented in all outputs and that all creative design is aligned with our brand guidelines across all touchpoints.Works closely with the global branding team to understand their design needs and provide solutions that meet their objectivesStay updated on design trends and industry best practices to continuously improve the visual appeal and effectiveness of our content.Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute innovative ideas, and provide creative input for marketing and branding initiatives.Act as a brand guardian, ensuring best practice adherence to guidelines and consistency across different touchpointsWell-connected to the inhouse services team, especially UX designers, to ensure seamless brand experienceProactive management of assets using our DAM system (file organization/archiving)Why this position:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to effectively manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs while adhering to deadlinesConfident and outgoing with the ability to use own initiative to prioritize workloadSolid understanding of working with corporate and or product guidelinesAbility to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life.Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation.Can learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.
