Junior GIS analyst, researcher in World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development

NNC "World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development" (http://wdc.org.ua) is an interdisciplinary research center of the ISC World Data System operating in Ukraine on the basis of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". One of the main activities of the center is the analysis, modeling and forecasting of the behavior of complex socio-economic systems.

We are looking for a junior specialist in spatial data analysis and geographic information systems (GIS) to join our team to participate in scientific and commercial projects.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of geographic information systems, spatial data management methods and tools, spatial data analysis and basics modeling;
• Knowledge of specialized spatial data processing software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS);
• Master's degree in geographic information systems (GIS), mathematics, statistics, computer science, data analysis or related;
• Above intermediate English proficiency.

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with data processing and programming languages (R, Python or others);
• Experience with databases and query languages (PostgreSQL, PostGIS, SQL or others);
• PhD degree in a related field;
• Ability to write scientific articles based on work results.
