A dependable, energetic individual with a “can-do” attitude and exceptional attention to detail, the Junior Designer is responsible for supporting the efforts of the design team to ensure the successful completion of the project. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with an organization that is rapidly expanding its operations and discovering new possibilities daily.Duties & ResponsibilitiesClient ServiceMaintains a professional demeanor with clients and colleaguesAssists in the production of client presentations under the guidance of senior team membersCreative LeadershipOrganizes team’s attendance at design fairs/tradeshowsOrganizes vendor 'lunch & learn' presentations for the team Financial LeadershipProduces 100% timely and accurate personal timesheetsProduces 100% timely and accurate reimbursable expenses (personal & project)Project DeliverablesInvolvement in all phases of the design process including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and some involvement in construction administrationUses computer-aided design (CAD) to prepare required floor plans, layouts, elevations, electrical plans, lighting plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, sketches and details required to convey design intentRenders conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawingsSources and research materials, finishes, fixtures, appliances and equipment appropriate to the project and produces corresponding schedules and spec books to capture the informationEstimates material requirements and preliminary costsSupports the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, and reviews shop drawingsAttends on-site visits and field reviews, provides direction to outside contractors and vendors, under direction of senior team membersMeets all deadlines for design deliverablesAdministrative DutiesAssists in the management of team project calendarMaintains and files correspondence, drawings, shop drawings and approved finishes.Assists in creating and managing a list of vendors that can be easily referenced (e.g. spreadsheet or other searchable organized format)People LeadershipMentors’ interns (if applicable)Industry KnowledgeFollows and speaks to current industry trends on space, function, decorative lighting, fabrics, furniture, and equipment, etc.Skills & QualificationsHas knowledge of high-end market.Able to make decisions and communicate in a fast-paced environment.Highly presentable, intelligent, confident, and discreet with an outgoing, upbeat and confident demeanor.Goal and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).Proficient in the use AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office programsPossess basic knowledge of interior design principles/practicesA Bachelor’s Degree in Interior DesignAt least 2 years of demonstrated work experience with Interior Design and/or Architectural Firms.This is a hybrid role.Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience) + Performance-Based BonusDirect applicants are welcome to apply.
