Journalist in Misto i richka

"City and River" is a new independent media of Dnipro and the region, a magazine that combines traditional genres (news, explainers, discussions, columns) with a new presentation and modern platforms.  

The goal of the project is to explain how the Dnipro is organized, what rules of the game apply in it, who influences its development and how to do it correctly; to form a community of conscious citizens.

We write about:

- people, who govern the Dnipro: open and shadow players (businesses, officials, law enforcement officers, volunteers, public activists)

-positive and negative processes taking place in the city

- decisions of the city authorities that affect the development of Dnipro

< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">- practical ideas for improving life in the city, city memes, jokes, entertainment.

Project start:July 2024.

"The city and the river » is looking for a journalist to join the staff.

Skills that are important to us:

- literacy

- the ability to work with various journalistic genres (news , explainer, interview, report, etc.)

- compliance with journalistic standards

- news rewriting skills

- basic knowledge of WordPress

- the ability to search for information, analyze data, generate info drives

- understanding the local context

- the ability to highlight the most important and most interesting

- the ability to work with video formats (will be an advantage)

- flexibility, ability to work quickly

- desire to learn and develop in the field (we will provide)

Responsibilities:< /p>

- participate in the development of the content plan and editorial meetings

- monitor the materials of competitors, choose information drives / topics suitable for the publication

- create extensive texts in various genres (up to 20 per month) and up to 20 news per month

- repackage your texts for different social networks

- edit your own texts on the website
