JavaScript Engineer with QA Automation experience (Accessibility Product House)

We are looking for an experienced JS Engineer to help us create a more accessible web for everyone. In this role, you will be able to combine your software development experience with your passion for quality assurance to develop robust test automation solutions for our accessibility testing engine.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of an engine for automated test suites using JavaScript and popular test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright and WebdriverIO
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure ease of testing and use of Web SDK
  • Design and implement effective test strategies to cover mission-critical functionality and availability scenarios
  • Investigate and resolve bugs identified during test execution, working closely with the development team to solve them
  • Continually improve and optimize the automated testing process to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to maintain high standards of code quality
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in JavaScript testing and accessibility

Requirements < /b>

  • 3+ years of Javascript programming experience with a desire to use test-driven development
  • Proven experience with automation frameworks JavaScript testing such as Cypress, Playwright or WebdriverIO
  • Deep understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS and DOM manipulation
  • Knowledge of JavaScript testing libraries such as Jest, Mocha or Jasmine
  • Experience with version control systems including Git and GitHub
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and guidelines (WCAG, WAI-ARIA) is an advantage
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI or CircleCI
