Java Integration Technical Lead

UST Ukraine is looking for a  Java Integration Technical Lead.

Working hours: up to 21.00 Ukrainian time.

Location: Ukraine.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of work experience.
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts such as Data types, Control structures, Classes, Objects, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Exception Handling, memory management, transaction management, etc. Must have written programs using the above concepts.
• Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Framework (including Spring Boot, and Spring Security) for building enterprise-level applications. Must have written programs using the above framework.
• Knowledge in microservices concepts [Data management in microservices, inter-service communication, microservices in Springboot, dependency usage and configuration]
• Experience in unit testing frameworks like JUnit, and mocking frameworks like Mockito for writing and executing test cases. Must have written programs/scripts using the above.
• Experience in working with relational databases, and Ability to write SQL queries.
• Exposure to GitLab CI or different tools such as Github, Bitbucket, etc.
• Exposure/experience in fast-paced, agile development practices.
• Debugging and troubleshooting and code analysis skills [applications, server-side, DB].
• Strong technical communication skills. Ability to drive the calls on technical issue resolution.
• At least Upper-intermediate English level.

Nice to have Skills:

• Experience in Agile development practices.
• Understanding of design patterns/architecture.
• Experience in file processing and database optimization for batch queries.
• Work experience/understanding of Web APIs is preferred.
• Work experience/understanding of cloud services like AWS/Azure/GCP preferred.
• Work experience/expertise in the US Health care domain.

Responsibilities:

• Create low-level design documents for the code to be developed, meet design standards.
• Participate and lead the design discussions with client teams, onshore and offshore teams.
• Review low level design documents created by peers and developers.
• Develop scalable, high performance, robust application / code. Responsible to write and maintain clean, well-written code, as per the best practices.
• Review the application / code developed by peers and developers.
• Participate and lead the issue resolution and defect fixes with the applications.
• Deploy and configure the application and resolve issues related to deployment.
• Do Unit Testing, System Testing / String Testing, Smoke Testing on the deployed applications.
• Represent the team in daily stand-up meetings with clients, update daily work progress via Project Management systems, voice/video calls, online collaboration using screen-sharing tools.
