We are looking for an Engineer with experience in data engineering for a growing international initiative to unleash the power of data and technology. We develop a cloud-native personalization platform that powers leading RASP and Ringier AG brands and helping dozens of millions of users daily.

Must have skills:

• Experience in using JVM languages (Java 11/21) and frameworks (Spring Boot)
• Background in developing and maintaining data intensive applications based on microservices architecture and BigData technologies (ie. Spark, Flink, Airflow, Druid)
• A proactive "You build it, you own it, you run it" approach to both development and operational responsibilities
• Basic understanding of Web technologies ( REST APIs, cookies, CDN/caching, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• A willingness to embrace and learn new technologies and languages

Additional Assets:

• Familiarity with cloud computing on AWS (RDS, Kinesis, EKS, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.)
• General understanding of Machine Learning (including recommendation algorithms)
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments
