About the organization

Swiss Foundation for Mine Action is a non-commercial, apolitical organization independent of any ideology, religion or nationality. The head office of the FSD is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

The purpose of the organization

The main purpose of the FSD is to promote demining activities. In general, the totality of the organization's activities is aimed at alleviating and reducing the social, economic and ecological consequences of pollution from land mines and explosive remnants of war on the territory of Ukraine.

Purpose of the position:

Under the overall direction and direct supervision of the Chairman of the Board of the manager of administrative activities, the IT system administrator is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the FSD computer system and relevant information networks.

Position:

The place of work is based in Chernihiv. This position includes business trips both within the Chernihiv region and to other regions, including, but not limited to, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kyiv regions. 

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure uninterrupted functioning of the computer system and computer networks of the enterprise (local (LAN) and global (WAN) computing networks, system and network software administration;
• Perform diagnostics of problems with hardware and software, replace defective components if necessary;
• Ensure acceptance, installation and testing of hardware, software and communication objects of the network infrastructure of the enterprise;
• Perform operations to ensure the reliability of data storage and restore the proper functioning of the system and data in the event of failures and other serious violations in the computer system, including ensuring timely copying and backup of data ;
• Install and connect personal computers and peripheral devices to the computer system (network) of the enterprise;
• Participate in the development, administration and updating of the organization's website;

• Modernize and improve the company's computer system, add and configure new workstations, as well as peripheral devices;
• Actioncarry out simple repairs, as well as maintenance of various components of the company's computer system;
• Install system-wide software, as well as application programs in accordance with the specialization in the work of the organization's employees;   
• Perform procedures to prevent the spread of viruses, install appropriate anti-virus software and monitor its timely updates;
• Select and replace printer cartridges; 
• Organize the process of producing personal ID cards for employees.

Basic requirements:

• Work experience in a similar position - from 3 years;
• Fluency in Ukrainian, English;
• Responsibility and high diligence;
• Ability to perceive and quickly perform tasks;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Providing a Certificate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the absence of a criminal record;
• Availability driver's license and experience working in humanitarian organizations will be an advantage.

General conditions

The term of employment depends on the duration of external financing of projects in Ukraine. The minimum term of work is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
