We are looking for an engineer who is driven by radio air - from spectral analysis to detection? drone signals in real time. You will work with SDR platforms, write DSP pipelines and build systems that convert radio signals into actionable intelligence for autonomous platforms.
What you will do:
- Work with SDR platforms (HackRF, RTLSDR, USRP, LimeSDR) - capture, analysis and processing of radio signals
- Develop DSP pipelines for detection?, classification? and bearings? of UAV signals
- Analyze radio spectrum - identification of drone control protocols, telemetry?, video links
- Write in Python and C++ for real-time signal processing
- Work with GNU Radio - build flow graphs, write custom blocks
- Integrate RF modules with edge computing platforms (Jetson, Raspberry Pi)
- Test and validate systems in real conditions from the laboratory? to the field
- Exploring new approaches to RF detection? using ML (signal classification, anomaly detection)
Technical skills
Mandatory:
- Understanding of the basics of radio engineering - modulation (AM/FM/PSK/OFDM), frequency bands, antennas, propagation signal
- Experience with any SDR - at least RTL-SDR at the level of "listened to the broadcast, looked at the spectrum"
- Python - are you sure? level, working with NumPy, SciPy for signal processing
- Basic understanding of DSP - filtering, FFT, demodulation, spectral? analysis
- Linux - command? line, SSH, basic administration
Will be a plus:
- GNU Radio - experience building flow graphs, writing OOT modules
- C/C++ for DSP - real-time signal processing
- Knowledge of drone protocols - control frequencies (2.4/5.8 GHz, 900 MHz), ELRS/Crossfire/DJI OcuSync protocols
- ML for signals - modulation classification?, anomaly detection on spectrograms
- Direction finding (DF) - TDOA, AoA, basic understanding of antenna arrays
- MATLAB / Simulink for modeling
- EdgeAI platforms - Jetson, Hailo (inference of RF models? on board)
- REE/REP - basic understanding of the principles of radio electronics? fight
- GStreamer / FFmpeg - for integration? RF data in general? pipeline
- Participation in defense exhibitions, hackathons, BRAVE1 or similar programs
