Intern/Junior Data Engineer in Equiliem

As an Intern/Junior Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Data Engineering team, responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data solutions. You will focus on scraping data from various sources and using Python to create efficient data processing scripts. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust web scraping scripts using Selenium to collect structured data from various online sources.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Assist in the design and implementation of MongoDB databases to store and manage scraped data effectively.
• Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data collection and processing frameworks.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Selenium for web scraping.
• Experience with MongoDB for database management.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and additional database design.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Previous internship or project experience in data engineering or a related field.
