Infrastructure Engineer in Dataweb Global Group

Dataweb Global Group, the provider of infrastructure IT solutions, is looking for a specialist for the role of Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the use of power, cooling, space, and other resources in data centers (DC)
• Development and management of the company’s infrastructure. Implementation of new tools, practices, approaches, equipment, and industrial standards within DCIM
• Ensuring the company’s infrastructure management system’s high availability, monitoring, and reliability
• Development, implementation, and tracking of equipment and work standards in the DC
• Find the best solutions to meet customer needs
• Communication with partners and suppliers
• Design and commissioning of new racks and cages in DC

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of the DC structure
• Knowledge of the principles and experience in finding and solving problems of power supply and energy distribution in DC
• Experience with tools for designing, auditing, operating, and solving problems of cooling systems in DC
• Knowledge of basic principles of physics applied in DCs
• Operating experience of various systems in guaranteed power supply circuits (generators, UPS, DRUPS, PDU)
• Knowledge of operating with ODFs, dark-fibers, operator connections, LOA
• Knowledge of standards and best practices in cable management and experience in planning and installing cable systems within the DC
• Knowledge of the features and experience of implementing and operating monitoring systems
• Experience with the main platforms of key players in the server and network equipment market (Dell, HP, Supermicro, Cisco, MikroTik )
• Deep knowledge of network and server technologies. Ability to interpret and analyze equipment status data
• Knowledge of DC hardware functioning
• Experience in installing and updating server and network equipment in DC.
• Experience in deploying and managing infrastructure in medium and large DCs
• English not lower than Upper-Intermediate

Preferably:

• Availability of DCIM certifications. Experience with certified infrastructure
• Experience with DCIM platforms
• Experience with several commercial DCs
• Knowledge of CDN
• Negotiating experience
