We are looking for a qualified specialist in disability issues to conduct training and educational sessions for the public according to international standards, conduct individual and group consultations with children and adults to improve the level of public awareness of the topic of inclusiveness.

Such events are planned throughout Ukraine (priority Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv), our organization pays for travel and accommodation during the business trip.

Responsibilities:

  1. Trainingtrainings and training on issues of inclusivity for IDPs and the local population in various locations (priority within Zaporizhia and Kharkiv regions, as well as other regions of Ukraine).
  2. Conducting trainings and training for staff, social workers and authorities to increase public awareness of inclusion issues.
  3. Provision of expert support and consultations on disability issues in both individual and group format.
  4. Development and implementation of protection and support programs accordingly to international standards.
  5. Development of support programs for persons with disabilities, evaluation of their effectiveness.
  6. Creation of educational materials for trainings and classes.
  7. Creation of feedback forms and evaluations of satisfaction with activities.
  8. Referral system to specialized services to receive the necessary assistance for persons with disabilities.
  9. Collaboration with other organizations to share experiences and best practices.
  10. Regular meetings and reports with the project team, representing the organization at meetings and meetings.
  11. Ensuring compliance of the organization's policies with the highest standards of the rights of women, girls and persons with disabilities.
  12. Compliance with the rules and regulations of the organization and international donors, a code of conduct and a policy to prevent sexual exploitation and violence.

Requirements:

  1. Fluent command of the Ukrainian language without punctuation and grammatical errors.
  2. Knowledge of English will be an advantage.
  3. Higher education in social sciences, gender studies, law human rights or specialization in the field of disability.
  4. Additional specialization in inclusivity, human rights will be an advantage.
  5. In-depth knowledge of gender-based violence, its forms, causes and consequences, as well as understanding of international and national norms and standards in this field.
  6. Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced MS Excel skills will be a plus.
  7. Analysis, planning and implementation skills programs and projects on issues of gender-based violence and support for persons with disabilities.
  8. High level of ethics and sensitivity to the needs and rights of victims of gender-based violence and persons with disabilities.
  9. High degree of flexibility and excellent ability organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
