The position will initially be a temporary three-month contract with the opportunity to transfer to a full-time role, depending on performance. The Imagery Analyst will process and analyze imagery from a range of remote sensing sources and produce information products for use by HALO's clearance and survey teams in the field. The post holder will also be involved in a number of research and development projects. The role is primarily office based but can include some limited field work. Responsibilities: Acquire and process satellite imagery from a range of providers for end use by field teams across a number of platforms. Analyze satellite imagery to identify points of interest and annotate in HALO's information management system. Process UAV sensor data (optical, thermal, multispectral, lidar) to provide ortho-mosaics and other information products. Conduct quality control checks of collected data and submit into HALO`s information management systems. Collaborate with the research and development team to develop remote sensing capture and processing capabilities. Requirements: University degree in Remote Sensing, Geodesic Surveying, GIS, cartography or related fields. Or relevant, equivalent experience analyzing imagery (including military or intelligence contexts). At least 2 years of relevant professional experience. Experience of using photogrammetry techniques. POSITION: Satellite Imagery Analyst LOCATION: Mykolaiv Oblast RESPONSIBILITY: Remote Sensing Department Manager Imagery Analyst HALO Trust is recruiting for the position of Satellite Imagery Analyst to support its work on clearing the territory of Ukraine of landmines and munitions that did not explode. Initially, the term of the fixed-term contract for the position will be six months, with the possibility of renewing the permanent contract in the future depending on performance. The satellite image analyst will process and analyze images from a number of remote sensing sources and produce information products for use by HALO demining teams and examination. The individual in this position will also participate in a number of research and development projects.ResponsibilitiesReceive and process satellite images from multiple sources for end use by field teams on a number of platforms.Analyze satellite images, identify data of operational value, and add entries in the HALO information management system. Perform data processing of sensors installed on UAVs (optical, thermal, multispectral, lidar) to create orthomosaics and other information products. Conduct quality checks of collected data and enter them into HALO information storage systems. Cooperate with by members of the research and division departmentwork for the purpose of developing remote sensing and information processing tools. Requirements Higher education in the field of remote sensing or a related field. Work experience in the field of at least 2 years. Experience in using photogrammetry techniques.
