We are looking for an IT Assistant
Position duties:

- Implement NRC policies and guidelines in the field of information technology at regional and field office level.
- Ensure data and network system security.
- Ensure setup and support network access, applications, data storage and regular backups.
- Implement and update a data disaster recovery (backup) plan.
- Schedule computer services, maintenance and license renewals.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of security services (antiviruses and firewalls).

- Plan network upgrades, expansions and replacements.
- Provide support and training to IT staff.
- Ensure asset/inventory is recorded and regularly updated in the monthly report.
- Participate in the processes of procurement of equipment in the field of information technology with technical support.
Specific duties:
- Ensure the proper operation of all IT equipment and related devices in the East Office.
- Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of laptops, desktop computers, mobile phones, printers, scanners, cameras and projectors.
- Conduct asset checks in all offices of the Eastern region and ensure the relevance of the list of material values.
- Perform routine maintenance of NRC IT equipment and networks in the Eastern Region office, ensuring proper working condition of all devices to support NRC field operations.
- Cooperate with the head ofIT and logistics staff to track equipment or inventory registration process.
- Regularly monitor NRC standard antivirus data updates and license renewals.
- Coordinate the creation of new email addresses in cooperation with the human resources department.
- Coordinate work with the head of the information technology department to effectively resolve incidents and inquiries related to both hardware and software.
- Regularly review and prepare to pay office internet bills.
- Assist in any other IT-related tasks assigned by the Head of Information Technology.
General professional competencies for this position: em>
- Experience in IT in a humanitarian/restorative context.
- Diploma in relevant field and/or relevant practical experience, including any training courses relevant to the position.
- Prior experience working in challenging and volatile environments is preferred but not required .
- Documented performance related to job duties.
- Working knowledge of English , preferably both written and oral.
Skills, knowledge and experience related to the context:
- Timely provision of ICT services upon request.
- Ability to prioritize and respond to urgent requests.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
- Ability and willingness to work and travel (from time to time) under challenging circumstances.
- Security, political and cultural awareness.
