International Solidarity (SI) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization that has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters for more than 40 years, providing the vital needs of food, water and shelter. In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. With a presence in approximately twenty countries, SI teams — a total of 2,000 people, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent headquarters staff and volunteers — work with professionalism and commitment, while respecting culture.
Solidarity International (SI) aims to prevent and combat all forms of abuse – all acts of exploitation, abuse and/or sexual harassment (ZSEN) against members of the beneficiary communities, fraud, corruption, violation of the rights of persons and/or property, financing of activities that harm human rights - which can be carried out within the framework of its intervention. Under the supervision of the manager, the Humanitarian Aid Distribution Specialist organizes, manages and carries out the distribution among the beneficiaries according to the procedures and standards of Solidarity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Distribution
- Under the leadership of the manager, participate in the logistical and administrative organization, planning and preparation of distribution;
- Carry out distribution, using, in particular, the tools of "International Solidarity":
- Ensure that each registered, identified beneficiary has received their assistance from the distribution;
- Once the distribution has taken place, count and confirm the number of households that received assistance and the number of those distributed of goods;
- Collect and replace materials used during distribution;
- Perform International Solidarity administrative procedures before, during and after distribution.
Reporting/Communication
- Maintain monitoring tools and files in the International Solidarity office, making them available to their supervisor;
- Archive distribution cards / censuses and lists of beneficiaries;
- Under the supervision of the team leader, participate in the preparation of reports on the distribution of humanitarian aid:
- Participate in seminars and trainings related to distribution tasks and achievement of goals;
- Report to the team leader on the progress of activities and specific tasks, problems encountered, quality of relations with beneficiaries;
- Report any information or problems related to his/her task, International Solidarity programs or security aspects;
- Support contact with the local population and authorities in order to identify needs, complaints and major events that may have potential consequences for the activities of "International Solidarity";
- Analyze the humanitarian situation, taking into account the problems of protection/Do not harm the population;
- Cooperate with the local administration and authorities;
- Participate in meetings and clusters on issues of reparations for upon request.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
Experience working in the humanitarian sector for at least 2 years
Knowledge of languages: Ukrainian-native, knowledge of English at the Intermediate level and above (required)
Knowledge of IT programs: Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite
Classification:Experience in humanitarian aid distribution, beneficiary registration and field operations management. Ability to coordinate aid distribution and ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies. Deep knowledge of WaSH/NFI standards (Sphere, cluster guidelines). Understanding of humanitarian principles, logistics and administrative procedures.
Personal qualities: Responsibility, adaptability, ability to work in a team, sociability, attention to details, punctuality, tact.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Place of work: office at the address: Dnipro, possible business trips to Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya region.
Contract: fixed-term employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation)
Type of employment: full-time
Salary: 1240 EURO gross (paid in hryvnias, according to the monthly exchange rate of the bank of the European Commission).
Additionally: vacation 31 calendar days, paid family leave, life insurance.

Under the supervision of the manager, the distribution officer will organize, manage and implement distribution to beneficiaries, in keeping with Solidarites procedures and standards.
DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
Distribution
- Under the responsibility of the team leader, take part in logistical and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of distributions;
- Implement distribution using Solidarites International tools, in particular:
- Ensure that each registered, identified beneficiary has benefited from distributions;
- After distribution has taken place, calculate and confirm the number of households which benefited and the quantity of goods distributed;
- Gather and replace materials used during distribution;
- Respect Solidarites International's administrative procedures before, during, and after distribution.
Reporting/Communication
- Keep monitoring tools and files archived at the Solidarites International office, ensuring their availability to his/her manager;
- Archive distribution cards / censuses and lists of beneficiaries;
- Under the supervision of the manager, participate in the drafting of distribution reports:
- Take part in seminars and training workshops relating to distribution tasks and to goal attainment;
- Report to the team supervisor on the progress of activities and specific tasks assigned, problems encountered, the quality of relations with beneficiaries;
- Pass on any information or problems concerning his/her task, Solidarites International programs, or safety aspects;
- Act as a liaison with the local population and authorities in order to identify the needs, grievances and major events that could have potential consequences for Solidarites International activity;
- Analyze the humanitarian situation, taking protection problems into consideration/Do no Harm to the population;
- Collaborate with local administration and authorities;
- Take part in restitution meetings and clusters on request.
PROFILE FORSAKEN:
Study: Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Experience in the humanitarian sector at least 2 years
Language: Ukrainian-native speaker, English at intermediate level or higher (required)
