HEKS/EPER helps improve the living conditions of people in Switzerland and around the world, claims their rights, and to this end, mobilizes and raises awareness on the part of society, policy-makers, business and churches.The Humanitarian Access and Security Coordinator (HASC) will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of humanitarian aid in Ukraine. This position involves developing and implementing security protocols, assessing access risks, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to enable the organization's operations in challenging environments.As soon as possible or by arrangement, we are looking for a proactive and experienced:Humanitarian Access and Security Coordinator (HASC), 100%Your main responsibilities:Support CD, SMT, Country Coordination, Field Operations Managers, and all Security staff on all related to Safety and Security mattersResponsible for the continued review and updates of all security documents, related procedures and their implementationConduct comprehensive security risk assessments for each area of operation is operating in allowing reviewing and developing access strategies aligned to the local contextCoordinate with relevant authorities, local communities, and partners to improve relations, understanding and recognition of operational objectives as well as reviewing best practice for humanitarian activitiesEstablish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, UN bodies, and local NGOsMonitor and analyse the security situation in Ukraine, providing regular updates and recommendations to the management teamFacilitate and promote various health, Safety and security training for staff, ensuring a high level of preparedness and adherence to security protocolsAdvise on the design and implementation of programs with a focus on minimizing security risks by mitigate and ensuring compliance with humanitarian principlesParticipate in security coordination forums and represent the organization in relevant meetings with external partnersManage incident reporting and response mechanism, including crisis managementSupport Program teams in charge of designing new proposalManagement of the Safety and Security BudgetTo be successful you bring:Experience in security managementAcademic training in Law, Political science, Statistics or other similar domain5 years experience as coordinator in a security related field (security, logistics, country coordinator) in a Human Aid organisationExperience in the coordination of personnel, monitoring and Program evaluationOperational Security ManagementSkills: Ability to plan, organise and resolve, date, mapping, GIS know-how, good communications skills and intercultural awarenessEnglish is essential, Ukrainian preferred, other languages like Russian a plusWhat you can expect from us:An international position with a duty station in Kyiv, Ukraine and regular travel to other field offices and operationsAn opportunity to make a difference in this worldAn interesting and challenging positionDuration 6 months (possible extension)Competitive salaryAccommodation provided by HEKS/EPERR&R after 3 monthsInsurance packageWould you like to join the HEKS/EPER team?
