You have experience handling employee relations, investigations, performance management and ensuring management and compliance with HR policies and procedures. What You’ll Do: The HR Generalist will focus on administrative and strategic employee relations, performance management, succession planning, HRIS management and compliance with HR policies and procedures. Function as the day-to-day HR partner to both the corporate and retail divisions in the organization; build strong relationships with business leaders: Corporate, Regional Directors, and Store ManagersProvide consultation, guidance and coaching to our North American teams to ensure issue resolution and employee developmentManage employee relations/performance management issues inclusive of conducting internal investigations, partnering with the loss prevention, and performing terminations in partnership with the Legal departmentRecommend and approve performance management action plans in partnership with the legal departmentResponsible for talent development and retention through a risk and performance assessment processMaintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practicesGather and analyze employee relations data and help to identify trendsProduce reporting on exit interviews, hotline calls, corrective action documents, etcDevelop and maintain policy and procedures as neededAct as a liaison for employees on payroll & benefits issues in partnership with the Total Rewards and Payroll departmentsPartner on annual review process with business leadersConduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations; analyze trends and recommend solutionsSupport company-wide global HR initiativesTroubleshoot inquiries from employees and utilize resources with the company to pro-actively find solutionsSupport broader HR projects when necessaryAdvise field leadership on process and financial guidelinesUpdate Incident Management system with case data and detailsAttend legal and HR seminars to learn and keep up to date on current practices and lawsYou’ll Need to Have: Bachelor’s Degree2-4 years of progressive HR experienceExperience in retail/fashion is highly desirableExperience in handling employee relations issues and dealing with labor lawsKnowledge and practical application of all HR discipline and practicesAbility to be in the NYC Office 3x a week We’d Love to See: Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team settingStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environmentPro-active and solution orientedPositive attitudeJC Perks: Generous Paid Time Off & Holiday ScheduleSummer FridaysInternal mobility across Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael KorsCross-brand DiscountExclusive Employee SalesFav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family)401k MatchPaid Parental LeaveThrive Wellness ProgramCommuter BenefitsGym Discounts At Capri, we are all responsible for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
