Reporting to the HR Manager, the ideal candidate is adept at managing various HR functions from onboarding to offboarding, while also spearheading initiatives to enhance our company culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping our workplace environment and ensuring smooth HR operations.What You’ll DoEnhancing HR Processes and Programs:Collaborate with the HR Manager and Talent Team to enhance existing HR processes and programs, ensuring they align with best practices and support organizational goals effectively. DEI and Culture Initiatives:In collaboration with the HR Manager, develop and implement comprehensive DEI strategies that go beyond events to create a culture of inclusivity, equity, and belonging. Integrate DEI principles into all HR functions, policies, and practices to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment. Operate as a key stakeholder in developing and launching company cultural events/activitiesHR Data Management:Assist HR Manager in generating HR data reports and analytics to provide actionable insights for decision-making and strategic planning. Support HR Manager in implementing data-driven approaches to enhance employee experience, retention, and performance. Examples of this include implementing surveys for onboarding/offboarding, pulse surveys, etc. Policy Development and Implementation:Lead the development of innovative HR policies, programs, and benefits that promote employee well-being, engagement, and productivity. Ensure policies are communicated effectively and consistently applied across the organization. Payroll Processing:Manage payroll processing for US and Canada teams with a strong focus on compliance with local laws and regulations. Stay updated on payroll best practices to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Employee Relations Support:Provide proactive guidance to employees on HR matters, fostering a positive work environment and resolving issues promptly. Handle complex or sensitive employee relations cases with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Compliance and Auditing:Strengthen compliance efforts by conducting regular audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements. Generate comprehensive reports to track compliance metrics and address any gaps proactively. Additional Responsibilities:Take on ad-hoc projects assigned by management that contribute to the overall success of the HR function and the organization as a whole. What You’ll Need to Be Successful3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a fast-paced, creative, technology, agency, or start-up environment. Demonstrated interest and experience in fostering culture and DEI initiatives, particularly within a remote work setting. Exceptional multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for independently prioritizing tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, representing the organization with professionalism and diplomacy. Proficiency in various tech tools including Google Suite, Slack, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality with discretion. Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceBonus PointsPrior experience in advertising, marketing, entertainment, or tech industries. Certification such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP The salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
