Position SummaryThe Human Resource Generalist will perform a variety of Human Resources functions, including providing assistance in all areas of Human Resources as needed, regulatory reporting, requirements, participating in surveys and other requests for data and maintaining the ability to create and run reports from the HRIS platform.Essential ResponsibilitiesReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory credentials, using primary source verification when possible. Communicates upcoming expirations to staff on a monthly basis and alerts managers and the CHRO if updated credentials are not available two weeks prior to expiration.Develops and leads monthly new hire Orientation with an agenda and presenters that provide relevant and useful information to new hires. Provides for an abbreviated orientation one per month two weeks after the general orientation and ensure participants attend the next regularly scheduled Orientation session.Participates in compensation surveys as requested, provides analysis of LRH current standing compared to the market and recommends adjustment as necessary. Ensures accuracy of the expense associate with any recommended adjusts on both an annual basis and impact for the current calendar year.Completes annual required regulatory reporting (EEO, OSHA, etc.), maintaining a schedule of all annual requirements and due dates.Manages the annual Employee Service Awards ceremony to include venue, invitations, gifts, and all related planning.Prepares for and manages all events, meals, special theme days, and prize drawings for National Hospital Week.Assist with the planning and coordination of the annual Volunteer Service dinner.Performs ad hoc employee recognition events at the direction of the Executive Leadership Team.Participates in hospital committees focused on recognition and celebration of staff.Manages the annual Performance Evaluation process according to policy, ensuring all timelines are adhered to.Ensure an annual check of the OIG Sanctions list for all employees at least annual, ideally in association with the Performance Evaluations process.Assists the recruiter with recruitment events such as job fairs and open houses as requested.Assists with management of the Volunteer program as requested.14. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.15. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.16. Performs other duties as assigned.REPORTS TO: Chief Human Resources OfficerSUPERVISES: NoneQualificationsEducation and Experience.Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferredAt least two years of human resources experience required.Certification by a national accrediting body in HR is a plus.Other Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Maintains a working knowledge of all areas of Human Resources.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
