The Danish Refugee Council (DRC)is an international non-governmental organization that promotes and supports long-term solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide. 

DRB is currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Group Leader to join our team in Kyiv.

General purpose of the role

Under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of a team of five HR employees, to provide technical recommendations regarding the department's activities in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and the policies of the DRB.

•    Provide advice and support to employees and managers on issues related to HR management, ensuring fair and consistent practices.

•    Ensure HR documentation complies with employment and data protection legislation. Cooperate with other DRB offices in Ukraine to ensure timely and accurate document turnover.

•    Cooperate with the legal affairs team to prepare and provide personnel documentation necessary for legal actions.

•    Provide assistance to the HR manager and/or the head of administrative and business activities in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures that ensure compliance with Ukrainian labor laws and internal procedures DRC.

•    Manage employee life cycle processes – hiring, transfer, extension and termination – in accordance with DRC procedures and labor laws.

•    Perform HR user functions in DRC Dynamics (ERP) for contract management, approval of leave and benefits.

•    Manage the process of updating and processing staff payroll information in close collaboration with other departments and ensure onward transfer to of the Finance Department.

Team Management

•    Lead and manage the team (including planning, performance, wellbeing and staff development) under the direct supervision of the HR Manager.

•    Ensure effective planning and quality executiontasks by the personnel team. 

normal">To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 3 years of experience in HR, administration and change management, preferably in international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) or large companies In addition in addition, we also expect the following from you:

Requirements:

•    Master's degree in HR, Political Science, International Development, Economics or related field specializations.

•    Deep understanding of Ukrainian labor legislation and best practices in the field of personnel management.

•    Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to lead and motivate a team.

•    Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.

•    Fluent command of the Ukrainian language and good knowledge of the English language.

Desired Requirements:

•  Prior experience working with international NGOs, UN agencies, or donor-funded projects.

•  Technical skills in compensation and benefits management.

Duration of the contract: 1 year after successful completion of the 3-month trial period

Salaries and conditions will be in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of the staff of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine.
