This organization specifically supports women in areas of conflict. This is an urgent search as the position is an immediate need. The position will start on a temporary basis, but there is definitely potential for temporary to hire in the future. The HR Associate will serve as the initial point of contact for their US-based employees regarding salary and benefit administration, recruitment, onboarding, staff development & retention and offboarding. The position will have some in-person duties. Candidates must be DMV area- based.This position would be an ideal fit for candidates with:Previous HR support experience, particularly with recruiting and payrollPrevious experience with Bamboo HR and ADP a large plusAble to start a new position quickly! Job Duties will include:Provide timely response and support to employee questions and inquiries as it relates to benefits, employee handbook and policiesAssist with benefits administration from enrollment to termination, process updates in HR Information System (HRIS) and on vendor websitesLiaise with vendors to address and administer insurance claimsMonitor employee leave balances and policies.Prepare US semi-monthly payroll and international hires payroll monthlyAdminister compensation changes in HR systems, and employment change letters to employees, participates to salary surveys as neededProcess employee terminations – update all HR systems and other off-boarding tasksSupport the recruitment process: job ads, using BambooHR Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other job boards, identify potential candidates through searches on recruitment platforms when neededMaintain relationship and communication with applicantsAssist with employee onboarding – new hire employment documents, employee onboarding schedules, liaise with IT, office facilities, hiring managers as neededCo-administer the internship programsAssist with HR programs and provide support on global initiativesProcess department vendor invoices for paymentMaintain department filing system (organizational charts, job descriptions, policies), employee records and reports, in compliance with government regulations and audit requirementsAssist with the HQ and global HR reporting.
