Assistant for the organization of property and personal security/Health, Safety and Security Technical Assistant Chernihiv in Norwegian Refugee Council / NRC

Horvez council in for Refugees (NRC) is an independent, humanitarian non-governmental organization founded in in 1946. We provide assistance, protect the rights and contribute to solving the problems of refugees, internally displaced persons and other persons affected by armed conflict. NRC began its activities in Ukraine at the end of 2014, supporting people affected by the conflict in the east of the country. We are currently increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to leave their homes due to war.

We are looking for < strong style="font-weight: 700">Assistantfor the organization of property and personal security/ Health, Safety and Security Technical Assistant in the Northern Regional Office of the NRC in Chernigov.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the preparation of the weekly/daily site safety report
• Monitor and inspect all health and safety equipment that has been procured/distributed
• Participate in express security risk assessments
• Participate in full security risk assessments including workshops
• Monitor and inspect all locally issued medical equipment
• Participate in health and safety training for staff
• Update and monitor the online safety package for employees of the Northern Regional Office and the Cherginov office
• Participate in capacity building at the direction of the Coordinator of field offices in order to maintain the internal capacity for conducting trainings
• Timely and accurate preparation of training reports based on trainings conducted in the country on the organization of property and personal security
• Participate in internal security audits at the direction of the Coordinator and Manager of property and personal security
• Regularly supervise and control the protocols of security briefings for the Northern Regional Office and the field office in Chernihiv
• Manage and supervise the movement of employees during their field trips
• Perform any other tasks as directed by the Field Office Coordinator or the Health and Safety Coordinator

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience;
• Knowledge of radio communication is a must;
• Knowledge of Geographical Information System (GIS) is an advantage;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Preferred law enforcement or military experience
• Ability to maintain contact with law enforcement agencies, military organizations and local administrations
